Spherical Wave Treatment of Laue Case Rocking Curves
نویسنده
چکیده
Dedicated to Professor G. Hildebrandt on the occasion of his 60th birthday A spherical wave theory is given for the calculation of the observed fine structure of Laue case rocking curves [1 — 3] of a pair o f perfect crystals. It is shown that under the experimental condition of measuring simultaneously the full width of outgoing beams, the simple plane wave theory presented previously [1] yields identical results.

A lamellar model for the X-ray rocking curves of sagittally bent Laue crystals.
The use of sagittally bent asymmetric Laue crystals in horizontally focusing monochromators for high-energy synchrotron X-rays necessitates simulation of the X-ray reflectivity by such crystals. Based on the theory of the lattice distortion in the diffraction plane of sagittally bent Laue crystals, a lamellar model was developed to predict their rocking curves. The model was experimentally veri...
متن کاملStability analysis of concrete gravity basestructures in rocking motion under wave effect
Given the worldwide industry progress in the construction of massive concrete structures, it would be a good idea to use concrete gravity base structures (GBS).In this regard, better understanding of thesestructuresregardingtheiradvantages and disadvantages in offshore areas seems necessary. The present study employed MacCammy-Fuchs method, which is based on the size of the structure to the wave...
متن کاملA New Theorem Concerning Scattering of Electromagnetic Waves in Multilayered Metamaterial Spherical Structures
The proposed theorem in this paper is indicative of a kind of duality in the propagation of waves in the dual media of and in the spherical structures. Independent of wave frequency, the number of layers, their thickness, and the type of polarization, this theorem holds true in case of any change in any of these conditions. Theorem: Consider a plane wave incident on a multilayered spheric...
متن کاملdiffraction: Ultra-sound excited crystals as an example
– Time-resolved diffraction patterns down to a sub-nanosecond scale obtained with a high-resolution diffractometer for high-energies X-rays on ultrasonically excited samples are presented. The time resolution gives direct insight into the purity of the excited sound waves and reveals the density of states for the lattice parameter at any point of time in a MHz oscillation period. The combinatio...
متن کاملRocking Rotation of a Rigid Disk Embedded in a Transversely Isotropic Half-Space
The asymmetric problem of rocking rotation of a circular rigid disk embedded in a finite depth of a transversely isotropic half-space is analytically addressed. The rigid disk is assumed to be in frictionless contact with the elastic half-space. By virtue of appropriate Green's functions, the mixed boundary value problem is written as a dual integral equation. Employing further mathematical tec...
